Russell Nickels

Russell Nickels, 38, of Pineville, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2015 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Pineville on May 10, 1976 a son of Floyd Nickels and the late Christine Partin Nickels. He had been a grave digger. In addition to his mother he was preceded in death by a son, Tyler and a brother, Jim Nickels. Survivors include his wife of 18 years, Sharon Saylor Nickels; children, Danielle and Austin; father, Floyd Nickels; brothers and sister; Michelle (Jerry) Hoskins; Michael (Shayna Thomas) Nickels; Timothy Partin and wife, Tina; nieces and nephews, Lachelle Partin and her son Tyson, and Kimberly and Matthew Warren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Friday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Bruce Cupp. Music will be by Tiffany Strange, Kristen Brock and Grant Saylor. Burial will be in the Hoskins Cemetery at Hances Creek. Pallbearers will be Billy Saylor, Grant Saylor, Keith Cox, Letcher Cox, Malcomb Miracle, Michael Nickels, Jimmy Payne, Dougie Browning, Brian Redmond and Jason Sanders. The family will receive friends Thursday after 6 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Nickels family.
