Ruby Brock Swallows

Ruby Brock Swallows, 80 of English, Indiana, passed away on Saturday, May 1, 2021 in Tell City, Indiana. She was born in Bell County on July 1, 1940, a daughter of the late Wilk and Emma Taylor Brock. Ruby was a believer in the Baptist Faith and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, David Jackson Swallows; and siblings, Jim Brock, Debbie Asher, Sarah Asher, Marlin Brock, Ford Brock, Carter Brock, Denver Brock, Jim Brock, Jr., and Vestina Brock. Ruby is survived by her daughter, Marilynn Asher; son, Harold Asher; granddaughters, Brittany Asher Chapman and Amber Lynn Asher; grandchildren, Tallya Tackett, Kitona Tackett and Draven Tackett; siblings, Opal Lee Asher, Baxter Brock, and Thelma Brock; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at 12:00 Noon at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Mr. Jay Steele presiding. Burial will follow at the Mudlick Cemetery in Beverly, Kentucky with the grandchildren and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Swallows family.
