Ruby Tolliver Brooks

Ruby Tolliver Brooks, age 89, passed away at her home on Friday, July 29, 2016. She was born on February 12, 1927 in Bell County, KY, and was a member of Pump Springs Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 63 years, Stanley Brooks; her parents, E. V. "Verlin" Tolliver & Minnie Tolliver; brothers, James Tolliver and Roger Tolliver; son-in-law, David Icenhour; and brother-in-law, Don Robinson.

She is survived by her daughters and sons-in-law, Judy "Susie" Icenhour, Donna Brooks, Charlotte & Lynn Earls, and Jill & Kent Hatmaker; grandchildren, Amy Icenhour, Matthew (& Crystal) Earls, Cayla Earls (& Donnie) Huddleston, Tara Earls (Williamson) Deavours, Gracie Earls, Olivia Price, Nathan Hatmaker & Avery Hatmaker; brother, Vernon "Buddy" (& Shirley) Tolliver; sisters, Wilma Sowders, Madge Robinson, June Sanders, and Sheila (& Steve) Mason; great-grandchildren, Cadence Deavours & Kenlee Huddleston.

The family will receive friends from 5-8 PM Monday, August 1 at Reece Funeral Home & Valley Chapel with Rev. Scott Cannon and Williamson Deavours, officiating. Funeral service will follow immediately thereafter. Music will be provided by Ben Dishner. Burial will be in the Shell Cemetery on Tuesday, August 2 at 11 AM. Pallbearers will be Kent Hatmaker, Matthew Earls, Nathan Hatmaker, Steve Mason, Donnie Huddleston & Will Deavours. Honarary Pallbearers will be Lynn Earls, Roger Dean Mason, Olen Brooks, & Randy Burchett.
