Rose Marie Goodin

Rose Marie (Dockery) Goodin, 86, of Pineville, passed away on Thursday July 19, 2018 at her home. She was born in Blackey, Kentucky on October 12, 1931, and was the youngest child of the late Carl Dockery and Dovie Walters Dockery Sloane. Marie was a homemaker and a compassionate friend to many. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Thomas "Tom" Andrew Goodin, granddaughter, Jacqueline Marie Goodin and siblings, Clarence Dockery, Nell McKeehan, Isabelle Leonard, Arizona Hicks, Arzilla Large, Earl Dockery, James McKinley Dockery and Imogene Lawson. Survivors include daughter, Rhonda (Goodin) (Bill Code) Shank and sons, Joel Thomas (Sharon) Goodin and Jamie Kent (Judy) Goodin; grandchildren, Amie (Matt Christy) Goodin, Evan (Oksana) Goodin, Jonathan (Jennifer Gordon) Goodin, Andrew (Katlyn) Goodin and Maredith (Roberto Rivera) Goodin; great-grandchildren, Zoya Goodin, Leo Goodin and Kentucky Christy. Special friends and neighbors, Kenny and Faye Lambert, Jeree Perry, Caretaker and a special thanks to Dr. Martha Combs-Woolum and office staff. Services will be at 1:00 PM Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jack Pennington. Music will be by John and Beth Parker. Burial will follow in Goodin Cemetery in Fourmile, KY. Pallbearers will be Matthew Christy, Charles Bo Goodin, Evan Goodin, Jonathan Goodin, Grover Brock and Kenny Lambert. Honorary pallbearers will be Dr. Jerry Woolum, Bill Code, Jim Rosenbalm, Deb Williams and Mike Goodin. The family suggest in lieu of flowers, donation in Marie's memory to the Friends of the Bell County Animal Shelter, PO Box 2534, Middlesboro, KY 40965. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM on Tuesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Goodin Family.
