Ronald "Skeeter" Lawson

Ronald 'Skeeter' Lawson, 67, of Stoney Fork, passed away on Tuesday, September 6, 2016 at his home. He was born in Red Bird on March 30, 1949 a son of the late Bradford and Ethel Helton Lawson. He had worked as a purchasing agent for Linsco Energy. He was a great husband, good father. Survivors include his wife of almost 30 years, Sandra Belcher Lawson; daughters, Aleah Mason and husband, Billy, Sonya Lawson and Rebecca Lawson; grandchildren, Shane Lawson, Collie Mason and Kelsey Mason; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Bonnie and Rick Warren, Jewell and George Surface, Brenda and Randall Ridley, Donnie and Dolly Lawson, Stanley and Marlene Lawson, his precious dog, Gunner, father and mother -in-law, Harold and Christine Belcher; and a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 12 Noon Friday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Sylvester Dunn. Music will be by Kelvan Wilson. Burial will be in the Belcher Cemetery at Red Bird. Pallbearers will be Larry Beverly, Robert Lawson, Shane Lawson, Charlie Collins, Billy Mason, Kenny Brock, Tony Brock and Derek Wallace. Honorary pallbearers will be Orville Baker and Bobby Beverly. The family will receive friends Thursday from 6 until 9 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Lawson Family.
