Romey Lee Partin

Romey Lee Partin passed away peacefully in his sleep Monday, June 4th, 2018 at the age of 82. Romey was born on September 30th, 1935 in Chenoa, Kentucky to Elmer and Bessie (Lee) Partin. He was the third oldest of seven siblings; Buddy, Bill, Faye, Fredia, Marvin, Reid, and Merle. He went to Henderson Settlement High School in Frakes, Kentucky where he played basketball and ran track and met his beautiful and loving wife, Rosa Lee (Kemplen) Partin. After he graduated in 1955, they married on July 30th in Tazewell, Tennessee. They moved to Chicago, Illinois, where he got a job at Ford Motor Company and had a career of 44 years. Together, they built a beautiful life along with their two children Brian and Anita. Romey was a loving, hardworking and caring man who loved his family, being outdoors, westerns, cars and jelly beans. He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rosa Lee (Kemplen) Partin; his daughter, Anita (John) Kadish; grandchildren Sabrina (Doug) Korlowicz, Brad Partin, Clay (Ashley) Partin, Cassie, Billy (Alyssa) Crew, Lauren (Brian) Trueblood and Paige Kadish; great-grandchildren Dalton Korlowicz, Audrey, Madelyn and Katherine Partin. He was proceeded in death by his Mother and Father Elmer and Bessie (Lee) Partin, his Brothers Buddy and Bill, his Sister Fredia and his son Brian Ken Partin. A service will be held at the W.A. Partin Cemetery in Chenoa, Kentucky on Friday, June 8th at 11 am. Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, is honored to serve the Partin Family Cemetery Details W.A.
