Roger Johnson, 93, of Little Clear Creek KY, passed away on Friday, October 9, 2026, at the Pineville Community Health Center. He was born in Loyall, KY on February 23, 1933, son of the late William Robert and Kittie Mae Greer Johnson. Roger proudly served his country in the United States Navy and was a veteran of the Korean War. He retired after 34 years from the United States Postal Service.
In addition to his family, Roger loved Pineville, the mountains, and everything outdoors. Roger had a big personality and was an avid hunter making his own tools and knives, and collecting guns. He attended Pineville High School, and he supported Mountain Lions sports, especially football, his entire life!
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Roger Hunt Johnson; daughter, Tracey Johnson; sisters, Elizabeth Hunter and Ruth Johnson; and an infant brother.
Roger is survived by his wife of 55 years, Brenda Baker Johnson; son, William Robert Johnson (Sue), daughter, Ann Johnson Guinn (Rob), grandchildren, Brandon Johnson (Victoria), Lydia Johnson Frame (Mark), Alex Johnson, Abigail Guinn, Katherine Guinn Carman (Aaron), and Emily Ann Guinn; five great grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Johnson and Rodrick Johnson (Debbie); sisters, Rachel Robbins and Rebecca Brooks; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and close friends.
Private services will be held by Arnett & Steele Funeral Home. Burial will be at the Fuson Chapel Cemetery in Little Clear Creek.
The family would like to give special thanks to Roger's caregivers, Peggy, Pat, and Lee.
