Robert E. “Bob” Slusher, 71, of Pathfork passed away on Thursday, December 22, 2022, at Harlan ARH. He was born in Insull, KY, on February 1, 1951, a son of the late Gilbert and Seretta Hobbs Slusher. Bob had been a coal miner and had been a UMWA Officer. He was very active I community affairs and enjoyed helping the community in many ways.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Rodney Slusher; brothers and sisters, Don Slusher, Johnny Slusher, Glenna Noe and Sue Green; and brother-in-law, Wade Eads.
Bob is survived by his wife of 50 years, Kathy Eads Slusher; son, Eric Slusher and wife, Melody; grandsons, Cameron Slusher and Nathan Slusher; sister, Betty Woodcock; brothers and sisters-in-law, Rhonda and Tim Collins, Michael and Laurie Eads, and Linda and Robert Howard, and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives, and many friends.
Services will be at 7:00 PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at Black Star Pentecostal Church with Rev. Ronnie Oplinger, Rev. J.C. Craig and Rev. Bo Lee. Music will be by the church singers.
Burial will be in Saylor Cemetery at Pathfork with grandsons and nephews serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM on Tuesday at Black Star Pentecostal Church, Pathfork, KY.
