Robert Arthur Gibson

Robert Arthur Gibson, 76 of Port Charlotte, Florida formerly of Pineville, Kentucky passed away on Friday, February 28, 2020 at Baymont Hospital in Port Charlotte, Florida. He was born on April 15, 1943 in Pineville, Kentucky to the late Hollifield and Mary Mason Gibson. Robert had been a Drywall Hanger for many years. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an infant grandchild, Corey Gibson, two sisters, Hettie Alice Fuson and Orena Coile, and two brothers, Marcillus Gibson and Elmer Gene Gibson. He was survived by his children, Roberta Edwards Goodpastor and Tracy Miller; grandchildren, Savanna Goodpastor, Spencer Goodpastor, Alicia Corum, Gracie Goodpastor, and Tony Gibson; sisters, Okaneda Partin and Saretia Gegg; brother, Overt Gibson; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Services will be on Saturday, March 7 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Kelly Partin, Jr., Rev. Bill Gibson and Rev. Alan Mason at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will be in the Gibson Cemetery in Davisburg with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Saturday, March 7 from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville which is honored to serve the Gibson family.
