Ricky Lee Elliott, 62 of Harrogate, passed away on Friday, December, 4, 2015 in Knoxville, TN. He was born in Straight Creek, Kentucky on August 20, 1953 and was the son of Pearl and Velma Burton Elliott. Rick was a loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, a brother and devoted friend. He worked as a coalminer, was an avid biker and was known by many as the owner of Elliott's Auto Parts in Pineville for many years but, above all, Rick was a child of God. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie and Steve Elliott and sister, Joann Sams. Survivors include his wife of 35 years, Louise Miller Elliott of Harrogate; children, Jamie and Kim Powers of Frakes, Ricky and Ann Elliott of Middlesboro, Jenny Hurst of Harrogate, Charlene and Randall Walker of Knoxville, Sherri Elliott of Sandusky, OH, Traci Lambert of Deer Park, MD and Stephanie and Gene Brock of Tazewell, TN; sister, Tammy and Wallace Hines of Pineville; brother, Danny and Vivian Elliott of Harrogate; grandchildren, McKenzie Powers, Landen Powers, Corey Lee, Kyle Lee, Daniel Elliott, Jasmine Elliott, Makayla Branscome, Casey Hurst, Chase Walker, Blaine Walker, Rachel Mixon, Valerie Porch, Alex Lambert, Alicia Blevins and Jenna Pogue; great-grandchildren, Noah Mixon, Caiden Mixon, Gracie Booterbaugh, and Zayden Pogue and many special nieces, nephews, other relatives, a multitude of friends and an amazing church family. Services will be 3:00 PM Monday, December 7 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Darrell Lowe and Rev. James Teaney. Music will be by Julie Wagner. Burial will follow in the Sams-Elliott Cemetery in Middlesboro. Pallbearers will be Glen Helton, Eulas Helton, Kyle Lee, Corey Lee, Chase Walker, Blaine Walker, Landen Powers, Randall Short and Rowland Williams. The family extends special thanks to the Lighthouse Church members and Jay and Mary Steele for their care and compassion during a difficult time. The family will receive friends from 2 until 3 PM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to be serving the Elliott family.
