Richard Lee Sampson

Richard Lee Sampson, 60 of Middlesboro, passed away on Monday, November 14, 2022, at the Middlesboro ARH. He was born in Sandusky, Ohio on September 24, 1962, a son of the late Press Sampson and Angela Florence Jones. Richard had been in iron work on metal buildings.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Barney Ray Sampson and Johnny Ray Jones.

Richard is survived by his wife of 32 years, Frankie Ayers; daughter, Crystal Sampson; stepchildren, Dustin Lee Ayers and Melinda Sue Ayers; brothers, Jo Marvin and Tonya Jones, Mitchell and Debbie Jones, and Michael and Patty Jones; sister, Tressa and John Melanathy; special friend and Certified Nursing Assistant, Felisha Brown; and a host of grandchildren, nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Private memorial services will be held at a later date.
