Richard Lee Hall, 70, of Middlesboro, went home to be with the Lord and Savior on January 15, 2025, at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. He was born in Viper, Kentucky, on January 13, 1955, to the late John Hall and Virginia Lawson Hall Smith. Richard had worked as a coal miner. Richard had also served in the United States Army. Richard loved the Lord and was a member of the Arjay Baptist Church.
In addition to his parents, John Hall and Virginia Smith, he was preceded in death by parents-in-law, Leonard and Nadine Miller, and Uncle Bus Lawson.
Richard is survived by his wife of 47 years, Carolyn Hall, children and their spouses; Marsha and Oliver Gregory, and Richard Jr. and Kayla Hall. Grandchildren and their spouses; Brittany and Brian Fields, Cassidy and Blake Gibson, Joshua and Jessica Holland, and Nicholas and Rachel Hall. Great-Grandchildren; Isaac Fields, Harper Fields, Emersyn Fields, Riley Holland, Oaklynn Hall, Opie Medlock, Riley Medlock, and Blake Gibson, Jr. Along with a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Funeral Services will be held at the Arnett and Steele Funeral Home in Pineville, on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at 2:00 PM with Bro. Danny Robbins, Bro. Norman Hoskins, and Bro. Lee Lyons officiating. Music will be provided by Joshua Holland, Isaac Fields, and the Arjay Baptist Church Choir. Burial will follow at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, with Richard Hall Jr., Brian Fields, Isaac Fields, Josh Holland, Nicholas Hall, and Oliver Gregory serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends at the Arnett and Steele Funeral Home in Pineville, on Saturday, from 1:00 PM until the funeral hour.
The family thanks the MARH Respiratory Staff, ER Staff and ICU Staff for the comforting care and concern.
