Rev. Hiram Mason, 86 of Pineville, passed away on Friday, August 11, 2023, at the Middlesboro ARH. He was born in Clear Creek on June 16, 1937, the son of the late Ned and Rose Belle Maiden Mason. Hiram met Geraldine Daniel and married her on September 26, 1959.
As a Baptist preacher, Hiram’s life was a testament to his unwavering faith and commitment to God. He led countless people and brought them closer to Christ. His compassion and wisdom resonated with many, making him a strong pillar within the Church. Hiram’s general love for The Lord shone brightly in his actions and words. His dedication to spreading the message of hope and salvation left a mark on the hearts of those he touched.
Among Hiram’s many joys, his family held a special place. He cherished his role as a grandfather and great-grandfather, finding immense happiness in the presence of his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His guidance and love will continue to influence their lives for generations to come.
Hiram’s legacy will live on in the hearts of his family, friends, and the community. His unwavering faith, dedication, and love for his fellow human beings will forever inspire and uplift those who had the privilege to know him.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Geraldine Daniel Mason; and siblings, Hillary Mason, Annie Collins, Burchfield Mason, JD Mason, Ned Mason, RV Mason, and Hobert Mason.
Hiram is survived by his children and their spouses, Bruce and Katie Mason of Pineville, Allen and Rachel Mason of Pineville, Jerlis and Alan Tipton of Pineville, and Debbie Mason and John Carter of Georgetown; grandchildren, Brittany Henderson, Lacey Smith, Christian Hiram Mason, Courtney Paige, Chelsea Lynn, Hunter Warwick, Madison Minor, Willie Mason, Jase Arron Mason, Morgan Avery Tipton, Chase Robbins, and Taylor Robbins; great-grandchildren, Caleb, Emmett, Landon, Blake, Tucker, Kadence, John, Rhett, Lydia, and Easton; siblings, Ange Dahling, Charlie Mason, Gene Mason, Lowell Mason, Edward Mason, Martha Jane Hyre, Alta Sharon Shrader, Ellen Bernice McCoy, and Betty Sue Coffer; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, August 15, 2023, at the Davisburg Baptist Church with Rev. Kelly Partin, Jr. presiding. Burial will follow at the Tipton-Mason Cemetery in Davisburg. Pallbearers will be Christian Mason, Chase Robbins, Roscoe Sexton, Brown Mason, Alan Tipton, Bruce Mason, John Carter, Eric Smith, and Jason Henderson. Honorary pallbearers will be Mac Partin, Dave Pannell, Randy Baker, Billy Ray Gibson, and Robert Partin.
The family would like to express a huge thank you to the Middlesboro ARH First Floor Staff and Dr. C.A. Moore for taking such great care of their dad, your kindness and compassion were greatly appreciated.
