Ralph Hamilton Gibbons

Ralph Hamilton Gibbons, Age 59 of Ewing VA passed away peacefully on Wednesday July 2, 2014 at Claiborne Co. Hospital surrounded by his family after a courageous battle with cancer. To be absent from this body, is to be present with the Lord. He was born Sept. 19th 1954 in Middlesboro, KY. The son of Arless and Jennie Hensley Gibbons who survive. Ralph was preceded in death by a daughter, his beloved wife Dorothy Jackson Gibbons, his grandparents and several uncles, aunts and cousins. He attended White Rock Church of God Mtn. Assembly. He worked at the Middlesboro Tannery and England Corsair before becoming ill.

He is survived by the following members of family: Parents, Arless & Jeannie Gibbons of Ewing, VA., 2 daughters: Christina (Jimmy) Musick of St. Charles, VA and April (Frank) Tinkham of Duffield, VA, 2 brothers: Gary (Roberta) Gibbons of Jonesville, VA and Jeff (Penny Hatfield) Gibbons of Ewing, VA 2 sisters: Lucy (Tommy) Johnson of Sneedville, TN and Sherry (Rev. Gerald) Warf of Ewing, VA, Special sis-in-law: Wanda Deaton and special brothers-in-law Lewis and Don Jackson, Grandchildren: Sabrina, Stephanie and Jessee Musick, Dusty Miles, Tameron and Jacob Smith, Richard Carter and Hannah. Nephews Todd (Melissa) Warf, Michael Parsons, Nieces: Tonya (Steve) Britton and Tasha Warf, Great Nieces and Nephews: Conner, Caitlyn and Cailey and Drake Warf, along with aunts, uncles, many cousins and friends. Rev. Gerald Warf and Rev. James Shoffner presiding. Visitation 6-9 Saturday at Reece Funeral Home. Funeral Service 2 PM Sunday at White Rock Church of God Mtn. Assembly Ewing VA.
