Rachel Lynn Owens

Rachel Lynn Owens, 39, of Speedwell, Tennessee, passed away on Tuesday, August 18, 2026 at her home. She was born on March 30, 1987 in Middlesboro, Kentucky, and was the daughter of Hazle Mabes Spurlock and Tim Owens.

She was preceded in death by a special cousin, Steve Surber; uncle, Jeff Owens; and aunts, Donna Mabes and Mary Houk.

Survivors include her daughter, Kinsley Dean; mother, Hazle Spurlock and husband, Dan; father, Tim Owens; brother, Jesse Owens and wife, Savannah; sister, Vanessa Owens Eubank; niece, Adalyn Owens; nephews, Nathan Eubank, Vincent Eubank, Jesse Lee Owens, Jr, and Shooter Lee Owens; and a host of other family members, relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be at 7:00 PM Friday, August 21, at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel with Dan Spurlock, Kent Owens, and Andrew Ditty officiating. Graveside services will be at 12:00 PM on Saturday at the Ausmus Cemetery in Speedwell with family and friends serving as pallbearers. A procession to the cemetery will begin gathering at 11:00 AM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel.

The family will receive friends from 5:00 until 7:00 PM on Friday at the Arnett & Steele Valley Chapel in Harrogate, which is honored to be serving the Owens family.
