Rachel Graves Edwards

Rachel Graves Edwards, age 89, went to her heavenly home on July 4, 2016. She was a member of Pleasant Hill Primitive Baptist Church. She was born and raised in Speedwell and later resided in Jacksboro.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Kelburn (Keb) Edwards, infant son Danny Ray, mother Mossie Mae Jones Graves, father McKinley Graves, brothers Lloyd Graves (died while serving our country in WW2), Leo Graves, and Iverson Graves.

She is survived by her son and daughter in-law Gary & Kathy Edwards of Morristown, daughter and son in law Kathern & Monty Sewell, daughter and son in-law Pearlie & Bryan Patty, brother Kyle Graves and special aunt Hazel Moyers. Grandchildren Tiffany Edwards Reid, Jordan Edwards, Jason & Matthew Melton, Sara & Jessica Patty, several great grandchildren and a host of friends and relatives.

She enriched the lives of the people who knew her and she became everybody's mamaw. Our loss will be heavens' gain but she will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.

The family wishes to thank UT Hospice special nurses Regina & Suelenna, who cared for and ministered to, not only our mother, but to us as well. We would like to thank everyone who called, visited, sent a card or a text, brought food, and especially said a prayer. We cannot express how much such love and support helps.

Funeral service 8 PM Thursday July 7. Visitation 6-8. Rev. George Asbury and Rev. Ron Williams officiating. Special solo provided by Ron Williams and music provided by the Asbury Family.
