Polly Jane Burke Jones, age 85, of Tazewell, passed away Sunday, November 25, 2007 at Claiborne County Hospital. She was a member of Gibson Station Primitive Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Elder Nelson Jones; parents, Floyd & Francis Osborne Burke; daughter, Shirley Head Brassfield; son Charles Eugene Jones; brothers, Ben Burke and Zack Burke; sisters, Gertie Gillman, Susie Johnson and Venus Jones and daughter-in-law Betty Jones.

She is survived by:

sons- Bill Jones of White Pine

Danny &(Cindy) Jones New Tazewell

daughter- Betty Sue &(Rocky) Hatfield Harrogate

grandchildren- Rick Head, Brenda Lawson, Chris Brassfield,

Jennifer Jones Brown, Jeff Jones, Greg Jones, Crystal McMurry, Rebecca Littrell, Aaron Hatfield, Nikkie Hatfield and Jim Jones.

daughter-in-law Gladys Jones of Lafollette.

special sister-in-law Lizie Burke.

And several great and great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 11 am Wednesday at Gibson Station Primitive Baptist Church with Elder D.C. Brantley and Rev. David Miracle officiating.

Music by Billy Cunningham, Claude & Shirley Sandifur, Jim and Sandy Weaver.

The body will lie in state from 10:30- 11:00 at The Church. The family will receive friends from 6-9 Tuesday at Reece Funeral Home & Valley Chapel.

Burial in the Riverview Cemetery.

Grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
