Phyllis Smith

Phyllis R. Smith, age 77, of Harrogate, TN was born October 6, 1946 and passed away suddenly Tuesday, December 26, 2023. She was saved at an early age and was a member of Eagle’s Rock Missionary Baptist Church. Phyllis was a very talented cook and seamstress, but she also enjoyed to travel. Phyllis enjoyed many things in life but her children and grandchildren were the light of her eyes.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Roy and Elizabeth West and several brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her loving husband of 52 years; David Smith, children; David (Brandi) Smith, Crystal (Keenan) Jyrkas, Adam (Annette) Smith, grandchildren; McKenna and Ty Jyrkas, Cassidy (Logan) Miracle, Alyssa Smith., brothers; Ben (Della) West, Frank (Wanda) West, sister; Pat Beeler.

She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of loving church family, neighbors and friends.

The family will receive friends Saturday, December 30, 2023 from 5PM until 7PM with funeral services to follow at 7PM at Eagle’s Rock Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Dustin Callahan officiating. The obituary will be read by Lewis Higgins. Music will be provided by Channing Callahan and Jake Hall.

Graveside services will be conducted at 2PM Sunday, December 31, 2023 in the Mountainview Cemetery and Memorial Gardens.

Pallbearers: Aaron Hatfield, Dwayne Holt, Keenan Jyrkas, Daryl West, Logan Miracle and Austin James.
