Phyllis Gambrel Adkins

Phyllis Gambrel Adkins, 66, of Pineville, went home to her Lord on Sunday, August 4, 2019 at the Middlesboro Appalachian Regional Hospital. She was born on October 8, 1952 a daughter of the late Otis and Ethel Smith Gambrel. She believed in the Pentecostal Faith and had been a homemaker. Phyllis loved her church and church family. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Edna Bowman and a brother, Alonzo Gambrel. Survivors include her husband of 40 years, Lester Adkins; sister, Rosalee Norfleet; brothers, Ronnie Gambrel and Lee Gambrel and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Jeff Kersey and Assistant Pastor Harold Sutton. Music will be by the Church Singers. Burial will be in Pinelawn Memorial Gardens with Men of the Church serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Wednesday beginning at 12 Noon at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, KY which is honored to serve the Adkins Family.
