Phronia Saylor

Phronia Saylor, 84 formerly of Kettle Island, passed away on Saturday, June 29,2019 at the Claiborne Health and Rehab Center in New Tazewell. She was born in York Branch on May 21, 1935, a daughter of Jessie Cox and Goldie Helton. She had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Sol Saylor; sisters, Marie Caldwell and Nellie Brock and brothers, John L. Cox, Jessie Cox and Dan Cox. Phronia is survived by her children and their spouses, Sue and David Lane, Carolyn and Charles Wilder and Leeman and Teresa Saylor; grandchildren, Jessie (James ) Scroggins, Solomon Wilder, Amy (Brian) Baker, Tracy (Eddie) Raisley, Ashley (Kevin) Saylor and Clifford (Merlie) Lane; great-grandchildren, Elijah Scroggin, Brendan Scoggin, Chase Raisley, Charles Anthony Wilder, Victoria Scroggin, Skyler Saylor, Brandon Baker and Amaya Lane; sister, Bertha Caldwell and a host of other family and friends. Services will be at 11:00 AM Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mark Mahurin and Rev. James Branscombe. Music will be by The Glory Road Boys and Mark Mahurin. Burial will be in the Sol Saylor Cemetery at Kettle Island. Pallbearers will be Kevin Caldwell, Joseph Caldwell, Tyler Bailey, Kevin Saylor, Eddie Raisley and Jonathan Cox. Honorary pallbearer will be Danny Cox.
