It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of Peggy Lee LeFevers, 72, of Flat Lick. She peacefully left this world on Monday, January 3, 2022, at her beloved home. Born on June 25, 1949, in Barbourville, Peggy was cherished as the daughter of the late Herman and May Lawson Relaford.
Peggy was preceded in death by her half-sister, Debbie Relaford Wells, and a dear friend, Mary Jefferson, who held a sisterly bond with her. Their absence leaves a profound void in our hearts. A steadfast believer in her Pentecostal faith, Peggy devoted over 40 years to her calling as a registered nurse.
She touched the lives of countless individuals across various hospitals and clinics throughout Southeastern Kentucky, Eastern Tennessee, and Tampa, Florida. Her genuine compassion and dedication to caring for others left a lasting impression on everyone she met. Nature brought Peggy immense joy—her love for hummingbirds, butterflies, and beautiful flower gardens was profound, and those vibrant scenes vividly reflected her spirit.
Throughout her life, Peggy experienced love in three meaningful marriages: first to Joe Edward Jackson, with whom she had three wonderful sons; then to her dear friend, Fredrick Charles Nordstrom; and ultimately, to Billy Charles LeFevers.
Peggy's legacy lives on through her three sons: George Lee Jackson of Harlan, Kentucky; Justin Alexander Jackson and his wife, Melissa, of London, Kentucky; and Timmy William Jackson and his wife Amanda of Horse Branch, Kentucky.
She took great pride in her grandchildren and their spouses: Shane and Lauren Jackson, Austin and Tristan Jackson, Jordan and Emily Jackson, Madelyn Eve Jackson, and Connor Dwayne Jackson, as well as her beloved great-grandchildren, Eleanor Kate Jackson and Maisyn Avery Jackson.
We warmly invite all who knew Peggy to join us in honoring her life at her funeral service, scheduled for 2:00 PM on Sunday, January 9, 2022, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home. Rev. Charles Henson will preside over the service. In her memory, her grandsons—Connor Jackson, Shane Jackson, Austin Jackson, and Jordan Jackson—will serve as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 12:00 PM until 2:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Lefevers Family. Light a candle of remembrance and sign the guest register at www.arnettsteele.com.
