Paxton Caleb Ray Bayless

Sgt. Paxton Caleb Ray Bayless, born on January 17, 1994, at Pineville Community Hospital, passed away on Thursday, March 17, 2022, as the result of an automobile accident. Caleb professed the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior on July 9, 2008, at 14 years of age. He was a member of the Fuson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Caleb is survived by his mother, Amy Fuson; sister, Emily Pendleton of Little Clear Creek; father, Shaun Bayless of Harrogate, Tennessee; maternal grandparents, Henry and Cathy Fuson of Little Clear Creek; paternal grandparents, Don and Ruby Bayless of Harrogate, Tennessee; special aunt, April Fuson-Orr; cousins, Tristen Orr and Catherine Jenkins and husband, Aaron of Cumberland Gap, Tennessee; special uncles, Brandon and Sherry Fuson of Little Clear Creek and Todd and Ladessa Bayless of Middlesboro; and cousin, Case Bayless of Middlesboro; and a host of other relatives and friends. Caleb was a correctional officer at the Bell County Forestry Camp, where he was employed for 7 years. Badge number 302 has been retired. Caleb was an avid weightlifter, fisherman, hunter, and co-owner of Ground Zero Mowing and Landscaping with Brandon Mills. Funeral services will be at 11:00 AM on Monday, March 21, 2022, at the Fuson Chapel Missionary Baptist Church. Rev. Tim Barnett will be presiding, Rev. Clint Goodin will read the obituary, and Rev. Waylon Hunter will be presiding at the graveside service. Burial will be at the Fuson Chapel Cemetery in Little Clear Creek. Pallbearers will be Harve Ledford, Dustin Hyatt, Tyler Parks, Michael Baker, Casey Freeman, Aaron Rose, Tyler Tuttle, Derek Hunter, Aaron Sexton, Taylor “Treebark” Smith, Colten Hunter, and Cody Goodin. Honor guard from the Bell County Forestry Camp will be present with special friends Keith Fuson and Brandon Mills attending. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Bayless Family.
