Pauline "Polly" Tinnel

Pauline “Polly” Tinnel, age 84, of Roan Mountain, Tennessee, formerly of Speedwell, Tennessee, passed away in the comfort of her home and surrounded by her loved ones, on Friday, April 10, 2026.

Born June 18, 1941, to the late John and Gladys Tinnel, Polly devoted her life to being a loving daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Polly loved telling life stories, cooking, quilting and going to yard sales. She always enjoyed sun bathing, swimming in her pool every afternoon possible and having pretty painted fingernails. Polly was of the Baptist Faith. She will surely be missed by her loving family, especially by her little sister-Joyce, and friends.

Other than her parents, she is preceded in death by one sister, Infant Girl Tinnel.

Survivors include one sister and best friend, Joyce Howard; one adored nephew, Josh (Joy) Howard; special cousin, Carolyn Lindsay; and a host of other special family and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted at Greasy Hollow Cemetery, in Speedwell, Tennessee, on Monday, April 13, 2026, at 2PM, with Bro. Vic Graves officiating.

The family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation to Gentiva Hospice, of Kingsport, Tennessee, especially to Tammy, Julie and Linda, for the wonderful care provided to Polly in her time of need.
