Pauline Slusher, 81, of Birmingham, AL passed away on Monday, January 19, 2009 at her home. She was born in Field, KY on November 8, 1927 a daughter of the late Silas M. and Alice Knuckles Slusher. She was a member of the Dawson Baptist Church in Birmingham where she served as Secretary of her Sunday School Class. She worked for AT&T/Bell South for many years as a telephone operator and then as an Assistant Office Manager for Service Evaluations. She was member of AWA and Pioneer. Pauline was like a mother all of the nieces and nephews and she talked about the love of her family to all who knew her. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a sister, Ellen Slusher, brothers, Floyd Slusher and John M. Slusher and a niece, Denise Beeler. Survivors include her sister, Kathryn Slusher Lewellen, Nieces and Nephews, Judy Lichtenstein, Bruce Lewellen, Kevin Slusher, Kristie Slusher, Douglas Slusher, Paula Downey, Jean Ellen Slusher, Kenneth Slusher, Douglas Slusher, Amy Hufstedler and Shirley Hufstedler, great-nieces and nephews, Monica, Nicholas, Abraham, Chris, Melonie, April, Robert, Dougie, Mandy, Matt, Mary Joyce, Josh and Jacob; great-great-nieces and nephews, McKenzie, Paulina, Abigail, Clay, Haley, Brenda Michelle, Savannah, Candace and Kyle and a host of other relatives and friends. .
