Pauline Slusher Caldwell King

Pauline Slusher Caldwell King, 83, of Tazewell, TN, formerly of Kettle Island, KY went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 8, 2017 at her home surrounded by family. She was born in Pineville on July 15, 1933 a daughter of the late Millard F. and Bertha Woolum Slusher. She was a member of the Dogwood Heights Baptist Church and had been a homemaker. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Floyd Caldwell and several brothers and sisters. Survivors include her husand, Wheeler King; children and their spouses, Nona Gail and Gary Calloway; Charles Douglas and Jennifer Caldwell and Carl Wayne and Sheila Caldwell; grandchildren, Bryan Calloway; Jennifer Edward; Kara Hensley and Charlene Caldwell; great-grandchildren, Matthew Calloway, Gracie Calloway, Maggie Calloway, Jacob Calloway, Graeson Edwards, Ella Edwards, J. Cooper Edwards and Grady Hensley; step-children, Inez Novak and family, Archie King and family, Donnie King and family, Jerry King and family, brothers and sisters, Alma Kinnaird, Doris Stobaugh, Ray Edward Slusher, Randall Slusher and Dale Slusher and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be at 2:00 PM Thursday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Travis Pressnell. Music will be by the Dogwood Heights Church and Grant Saylor. Burial will follow in the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens with Jack Calloway, Steven Calloway, Bryan Calloway, Matthew Calloway, Randall Slusher, Bob Moucha and Roger Brock serving as pallbearers. Honorary pallbearer, Rodney Slusher. Special thanks to Hospice Nurse, Abby Hampton, Dr. S.K. Morgan, Brandy Lasley, Dr. Saji Eapen and Bob Moucha.
