Paula Ruth Jessie

Paula Ruth Jessie, age 53, of Speedwell, Tennessee, passed away following a long and courageous fight, on Wednesday, March 11, 2026, at Fort Sanders Hospital in Knoxville, Tennessee.

Born January 6, 1973, to Joyce Bolden- Jessie and the late Donald Jake Jessie, Paula devoted her life to being a loving daughter, sister, mother, grandmother and friend. Paula was a strong and faithful servant, who loved God. She attended church services for over a decade at Emmanuel Baptist Church of Speedwell, Tennessee. Paula had a passion for collecting anything affiliated with giraffes and cats; she also enjoyed scrapbooking and crafts. She loved to travel, when possible, two years ago taking an unforgettable trip to visit the Grand Canyon and Mt. Rushmore, with her son, Dylan. Paula will forever be missed by her beloved family and friends.

Other than her father, she is preceded in death by two precious grandmothers; maternal grandmother, Grace Bolden and paternal grandmother, Nettie Jessie.

Survivors include one son, Dylan Jessie; mother, Joyce Bolden- Jessie; two sisters, Teresa Wilson and Diane (Vince) Hopper; two brothers, William (Debra) Jessie and James (Debbie) Jessie; special “adopted” son, Wesley Brooks; a host of special aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends; and beloved “grand” dog, Jennifer.

Cremation services to be provided by Arnett & Steel Cremation Services.

A private memorial service will be held, in the near future, with Pastor Randy Hurst officiating.

Interment to be held, in the Jessie Family Cemetery, behind the headstone of her father, as she requested.
