Paul Messer

Paul Messer, 89, of Pineville, passed away on Sunday, June 21, 2015 at the Barbourville Nursing Home. He was born in Jenson, KY on July 13, 1925 a son of the late Grant and Myrtle Allen Messer. Paul was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church and had been a heavy Equipment Hauler and had moved buildings. He belonged to the Bell Masonic Lodge #691 F & AM of Pineville. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by brothers, Jimmy Messer and Eugene Messer and sister, Gladys Hensley. Survivors include his wife of 57 years, Magdalene Carnes Messer; sons, Bruce Messer and Terry Joe Messer and wife, Geneva; grandchildren, Terry Jo Messer Greene and husband, James, Stuart Messer, Petra Messer and Sierra Messer; great-grandson, Tucker Greene; sisters, Dorothy Cain and Vinna Lou Warren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be Tuesday at 6:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Ray Collett and Rev. Matthew Robbins. Music will be by Wanda Spillman. Entombment will be at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens, Middlesboro. Pallbearers will be members of the Masonic Lodge #691 F & AM. Masonic services will be at 6:00 PM. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 4:00 until the funeral hour. at the Arnett & Steele Funeral home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Messer Family.
