Mr. Paul Chester Goins, age 86, of Speedwell, TN went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, April 2, 2011 after a long illness. He was a World War II veteran, having served on the Naval Ship, USS Constance, in the South Pacific. He was a deacon of the Red Hill Baptist Church in Speedwell, TN., a lifelong farmer, has worked in the mines, at Middlesboro Tannery, the American Association on construction, and England's Factory in Tazewell, TN. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. Preceded in death by parents, Roy and Vesta Goins; His wife of 42 years, Lela Manning Goins; Brother, Dan Goins; Sister, Martha Nell West and An infant brother, James Lawson Goins.

He leaves behind his wife, Billie Mason Goins; Two sons, Paul 'Richard' (& Shirley) Goins, Oak Ridge, TN, Clarence Goins & Sherry of Speedwell, TN; Daughter, Mrs. (Doug) Alma Heaton, Harrogate, TN; Daughter-in-law, Marcella Goins, Speedwell, TN; Step-daughter, Sheila Williams, Harrogate, TN; Sisters, Mrs. Theda Ostrander, Tazewell, TN, Mrs. Evelena (& Jim) Conner, Jacksboro, TN, Mrs. Sarah 'Pearl' (& Conley) Wilburn, Cumberland Gap, TN, Mrs. Lela Ruth (& Roger) Jennings, Adrian, MI; Brothers, Etna Goins, Harrogate, TN, Dee (& Etta) Goins, LaSalle, MI, J.C. (& Pat) Goins, Monroe, MI, Doyle (& Wilma) Goins, Harrogate, TN; 11 grandchildren, 18 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren and A host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be 8:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 5, 2011 at Reece Funeral Home with Rev. Gary Mundy, Rev. Mac Daniels and Rev. Doug Heaton officiating. Music by David Evans. Graveside service 11:00 a.m. Wednesday in the Red Hill Baptist Church Cemetery with military honors. Pallbearers, Mitchell Goins, Brian Goins, Kelley Goins, Chris Osborn, Silas Damron, Brandon Williams and Derek Williams.
