Patricia Hoskins Hurst, 82, passed away on Friday, August 2, 2024, at her home in Owenton, KY with her daughters by her side. She was born and raised in Bell County, KY to the late Reverand Enoch and Lucy Cox Hoskins on January 29, 1942. She was a member of the Bedford Acres Christian Church in Paris, KY. Patricia started her nursing career as an LPN at Pineville Community Hospital after graduating from Pineville School of Practical Nursing. She later returned to school at Lincoln Memorial University to earn her associate’s degree in nursing. She then went to work at Central Baptist Hospital in Lexington, KY and then moved on to work for the Trane Company in Lexington as an Industrial Nurse where she later retired. Patricia loved caring for people throughout her career but more than that she cared about the souls of people and telling them about Jesus. Patricia was a prayer warrior for her family and friends. She loved Jesus and always told everyone to “Keep looking for Jesus”. She was loved by many and will be greatly missed. Heaven has gained a beautiful soul.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lowell Hurst; brothers and sisters, Bill Saylor, Robert “Bob” Hoskins, Verdia Rae Saylor Jones, Betty Short, Barbara Caldwell and Mary Caldwell and stepson Keith Hurst. Patricia is survived by her daughters, Robin Bingham of Owenton, KY and Jamie (Doug) Wilson of Burlington, KY; grandchildren, Rob (Claire) Bingham of Louisville, KY, Kaela Lovell of Burlington KY, Andrew (Bridget) Blevins of Florence, KY and Holly Wilson of Centerville, OH; great-grandchildren, Ethan Bingham, Maizy Lovell, Maxton Lovell, Grayson Bingham and Harper Bingham; step children, Vicki Hutchinson, Ann Gilvin, Kenny Hurst, all of Paris, KY and Phillip Hurst of Mississippi; special nephews, Randy Scott Caldwell and Michael Sie Caldwell who were the sons she never had; special nieces that were like daughters, Monica Caldwell, Patti Caldwell Brock and Edna Barry that came to help care for her in her last weeks. She also leaves behind many nieces, nephews and friends.
