Otis Wayne Hobbs
July 15, 1953 — October 20, 2022
Otis Wayne Hobbs, 69 of Pineville, passed away on Thursday, October 20, 2022, at his home. He was born in Pineville on July 15, 1953, a son of the late Elmer and Ethel Jackson Hobbs.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Judy Grubbs Hobbs; stepson, Charles Sproles; and siblings, Andy Hobbs, Wendell Hobbs, Ted Hobbs, Troy Hobbs, Cora Lee Johnson, Gloria Jean Surrett, and Billie Wilson.
Otis is survived by his daughter, Stephanie Hobbs; stepson, David and Lynn Sproles; grandchildren, Emily Bean, Leigha Sproles, Danielle and Nick Robinson, Kaitlyn Sproles, and Kristian Sproles; great-grandchildren, John “JT” Goodin and Samuel Robinson; siblings, Shirley Gray, Suzanne Simpson, and Elmer “Buddy” and Linda Hobbs; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 5:00 PM on Saturday, October 29, 2022, at the Powell Valley Association Building with Elder Randall Miracle presiding.
The family will receive friends on Saturday from 4:00 PM until the funeral hour at the Powell Valley Association Building on Laurel Hill.
