Olen Heck

Olen Heck, age 87 of Speedwell, Tn. went to meet his Lord and Savior on January 25, 2013 at home, peacefully in his sleep. Olen enjoyed farming all of his life and was an avid gardener. He served as a military policeman from 1943-1946. He retired from General Motors in 1985, when he returned to his farm in Tennessee.

He is preceded in death by his parents Tilmon and Kate Miracle Heck, and brothers Nathaniel (San), Clayton and Aaron Heck.

He is survived by his loving wife with whom he celebrated 65 years of marriage, Beulah Graves Heck; daughter, Janice (Dennis) Kilgore, and son, Olen Ray (Joyce) Heck all of Speedwell, Tn. Grandchildren, Jessica (Bucky) Rouse, Jason (Kristie) Thomas, and Chuck Heck, all of Speedwell, Tn. and David (Erica) Heck of Harrogate, Tn. 8 Great Grandchildren; brothers Frank and T.H. (Wanda) Heck of Speedwell,Tn and sister, Edith Hall of Union City, Tn. A host of other relatives and friends to mourn his passing.

Visitation for Olen will be 5:00pm - 7:00pm Tuesday January 29, 2013 at the Reece Valley Chapel with funeral services to follow at 7:00pm. Rev. Lowell Wright and Rev. Jimmy Branscomb officiating. Graveside service will be Wednesday, January 30, 2013 at 11:00am at the Hill Cemetery in Speedwell, Tn.

Pallbearers will be grandsons Jason Thomas, Chuck Heck, and David Heck; Gary Monday, Scott Dunsmore, and Larry Graves. Honorary Pallbearers are Earl Graves, William Welch, and Verlin Maddox.
