Norma Rhymer Hunley, 66 of Corbin, formerly of Brownies Creek, passed away on Wednesday, March 04, 2026, at the Baptist Health Hospital in Corbin. She was born in Pineville on March 8, 1959, a daughter of the late Rev. Rudolph and Lemodee Miracle Ryhmer. Norma was a believer of the Baptist Faith and had a great love for the Brownies Creek Primitive Baptist Church. She had been an Assistant Manager for Big Lots.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Malinda Barnett and Mary Ellen Rhymer.
Norma is survived by her husband of 52 years, Charles Hunley; children, Sarah and Tim Waters, Tony and Jennifer Hunley, and Mary and David Tettenhorst; grandchildren, Caleb Hunley, Jacob Hunley, Canaan Hunley, Abigail Hutchison, Avery Hutchison, Riley Hutchison, Samuel Tettenhorst, Cole Tettenhorst, Hannah Hunley, and Sophia Waters; great-grandchildren, Brady Waters and Kadyn Wyatt; sister, Cathy Shackelford; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Funeral services will be at 1:00 PM on Saturday, March 7, 2026, at the Brownies Creek Primitive Baptist Church with Elder John Wiley Robbins and Rev. Jesse Shackelford presiding. Burial will follow at the Cubbage Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.
The family will receive friends on Friday from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Hunley Family.
