Norma Jean Garrison

Norma J. Bingham Garrison, 77, of Dorton Branch, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2016 at the Pineville Community Hospital. She was born on May 1, 1938 to the late Robert and Bertha Lipps Bingham. She was a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by brother, Floyd Rowlett, sisters, Geneva Bingham, Bonnie Bingham, Jewell Bingham and Frieda Garland, half-sisters, Maggie Brice, Mary Katherine Brice, Fannie Lefevers, half-brothers, Gus, Ed, Chester, Charlie, Ray, Bill, Jim and Fred Bingham. Survivors include her husband, of 59 years, Frank Garrison of Dorton Branch, sons, Danny (Becky) of Corbin, KY; Garrett (Tina Griffin) of Dorton Branch, grandchildren, Adam Garrison (April), of Corbin, Leigh Ann Kelley (Jimmie) of Lexington, Great-grandchildren, Seth and Marcus Garrison, Hunter Kelley, step-great-grandson, Noah Simpson; brother John Bingham of Palm Harbor, FL; special nieces, Kathy Howard, Janice Maynard, Angela Garrison and Reba Messer. A special thank you to Dr. Steven Morgan, Brandy Lasley and the Nursing Staff at Pineville Community Hospital. Services will be Tuesday at 8:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Jeff Tingle. Music will be by Jason Howard. Burial will be at 11:00 AM Wednesday in the Hickory Flat Cemetery, Dorton Branch. Pallbearers will be Ronnie Brock, Arnold Fuson, Adam Garrison, Chester Howard, Jason Howard, Asa Mills, Dustin Redmond and Ronnie Redmond. In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory to Bethlehem Baptist Church, P.O. Box 492, Pineville, KY 40977. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6 - 8 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Garrison Family.
