Nelson Wilder

Nelson Wilder, 84, of Miracle, KY, passed away on Thursday, July 25, 2024, at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Pineville on July 30, 1939, a son of the late Howard and Isabel Miracle Wilder. He was a member of the Primitive Baptist Church. Nelson had worked for Green Construction for many years.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Lois Jean Wilder; daughter, Samantha Wilder; brothers, Douglas Wilder, Rick Wilder and Keith Wilder, sister-in-law, Imogene Wilder; and son-in-law, Bernard McCreary.

Nelson is survived by his sons, Eric Wilder and wife, Rita and Alex Wilder; grandsons Deverux Wilder and Dillion Nickles; brothers and sisters, Conley Wilder and wife, Carol Claiborne Wilder and wife, Freda, Wendell Wilder, Alma McCreary and Loretta Dorton; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Services will be on Monday, July 29, 2024, at 1:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Elder Steve Green and Elder Ricky Dorton presiding. Music will be provided by Billy Ray Hoskins. Burial will follow at the Cubbage Cemetery with family and friends serving as pallbearers.

The family will receive friends on Monday, July 29, 2024, from 12:00 PM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Wilder Family.
