Nella Jean Collett Gregory

Nella Jean Gregory, 78, of Himyar, passed away on Friday, February 24, 2017 at her home in Knox County. She was born on April 11, 1938, and was a daughter of the late Jacob Collett and Stella Brock Saylor. Nella Jean believed in the Pentecostal faith and had worked as a nurse's aide at the Pineville Community Hospital for many years. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Harve Gregory and siblings, Bradley Collett, Billy Collett, Birch Lee Collett, Thelma Collett, Nettie Schamlin, Dewey Saylor and Johnny Saylor. Survivors include her children, Judy Gregory Watkins, Stella Jane Gregory and George Wendell Gregory; grandchildren, Raven Moore and Jeremy Gregory and a great grandchild, Peyton Spurlock; siblings, Bessie Harris, Nancy Stephens, Betty Miracle, Mary Bailey, Grover Saylor and Jack Saylor; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Sunday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Greenfield Cemetery at Woolum, KY with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends from 6 until 9 PM Saturday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to be serving the Gregory family.
