Nell Quesenberry

Nell Lee Quesenbery of Lone Mountain, Tenn., passed away on Feb. 25, 2015 at the age of 79 at the Claiborne County Hospital. She was the daughter of the late Dennis and Louise Yoakum Marchio, the wife of the late Jack Quesenbery and mother of the late Dennis Jackson Quesenbery. During the 1980s, Nell wrote a popular column for the Claiborne County Progress that talked about family history and news. She was very proud of her Jennings, Van Bebber and Yoakum ancestors who helped settle Claiborne County. In addition, Nell's home was always open to animals she rescued from roadways or that just showed up at her door. Her lively stories and unconditional love will be sorely missed by her sister, Ann Hill of Pensacola, Fla., her niece and great-niece Teresa and Mikela Hill of Breckenridge, Colo., and her nephew Aaron Hill of Orlando, Fla. Those who wish to remember her are urged to do something special for rescued animals. Burial will be at Fairview Memorial Cemetery in New Tazewell, Tenn. May she rest in peace. Amen.
