Mrs. Imogene Washam Jones

Imogene Washam Jones, age 74, of Pineville, Ky passed away July 7, 2018 at University of Tennessee Medical Center at 8:45 a.m. She was born July 31, 1943 in Bell County, KY. She was the daughter of the late Mary Ellen and Proctor Washam. Imogene was of the Pentecostal faith and had been a homemaker for many years. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 46 years; Monroe Jones Jr., her beloved son Proctor Monroe Jones, her son-in-law; Joseph E. Ward, daughter-in-law; Lisa Ann Jones, and a host of brothers and sisters. Survivors include her daughter; Mary Alice and Paul Brock, daughter-in-law; Phyllis Jones (wife of the late Proctor Jones), her daughter Juanita Ward, and her son Charles and Peggy Jones; grand-children, Donald Lingar, Allan and Jody Lingar, Proctor Anthony and Mikel Jones Taylor, Keshia Mela and Jessie Rape, Joseph E. Ward, Alex Anthony Jones and Colby Rule, Derek Andrew Jones, Joyce Ireine Gray and Nicole Lynn Smith; great-grand-children: Tyra Lingar, Christin Lingar, Braxton Lingar, Braiden Lingar, Hayden Lingar, Lane and Audry Rape, James Smith, Thomas Smith and Morgan Taylor; a very special grandson, Proctor Jones, that she loved dearly, who was her caregiver day and night and never left her sight. sister, Beatrice Cox; sisters-in-law, Martha Washam and Rosie Washam; special friends and caregivers, Tracy West Smith, Mikel Taylor, Jody Linger; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends. Graveside services were held at 2:00 PM on Tuesday, July 10 at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro with Rev. John Baird. Proctor Jones, Mikel Taylor, Allan Lingar, Braxton Lingar, Joseph Ward, Derek Jones, Colby Rule, Alex Jones and Jessie Rape served as pallbearers. The family received friends on Monday at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to have served the Jones family.
