Mr. John Kent Mcgaffee

John Kent McGaffee, 62 of Pineville passed away on Thursday, February 20, 2020 at the University of Kentucky's Good Samaritan Hospital in Lexington. He was born in Pineville on May 17, 1957 and was a son of the late Estil Martin "Dick" and Leah Dean McGaffee. John was a member of the Hosman Baptist Church and had retired from the United States Postal Service where he was the Post Master at the Ingram Post Office. John was an avid golfer, spending much of his time on the greens. He dearly loved his children, brothers and sisters, and his nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Donna McGaffee Stewart and brother, Larry Martin McGaffee and his wife, Bonnie McGaffee. Survivors include his wife of 36 years, Tammy Rose McGaffee; daughter, Jonna Brown and her husband, Justin; sons, Ryan McGaffee and Andrew McGaffee; brother, Bill McGaffee and his wife, Linda; sister, Mary Kay Mills and her husband, Roger; brother-in-law, Shelb Stewart; sisters-in-law, Wilma Lee, Linda Hale, Doris Lawson, Georgie Cox and Barbara Graham; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Monday, February 24, 2020 at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Jeremy Sanders and Mr. Ronnie Fuson. Music will be by Thomasa Risner. Burial will follow in the Pineville Memorial Cemetery with Mark Russell, Joe Porter, Donnie Caldwell, James David Strange, Steve Jackson and Daniel Edwards serving as pallbearers.Honorary Pallbearers nephews, cousins, and his golfing friends. The family will receive friends on Sunday, February 23, 2020 from 6 until 9 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to be serving the McGaffee family.
