Mr. Herbert "James" Fergerson Jr

Mr. Herbert "James Jr" Fergerson of Straight Creek, KY was born on March 4, 1929. On January 28, 2020 he was called home by the Lord Jesus Christ at the age of 90. He fellowshipped with the Moss Chapel Baptist Church and supported Word of Deliverance. He had a great love for the city of Pineville, KY where he was born and attended Rollin Hayes School; where he was known to be a tremendous athlete. He had an honorable discharge from the Korean War. He retired after working many years at the Middlesboro Tanning Company and two different Dry Cleaning Businesses. He always expressed that his greatest source of pride and accomplishment was in his children. He was preceded in death by his parents; Jim and Anna Fergerson. Survivors include his wife Marie, Straight Creek, KY; five children; Rhonda Ann White, Middlesboro, KY; Michael (Martha) Ferguson, East Pineville, KY; Gary Allen (Rebecca) Ferguson, Middlesboro, KY; Darrell Ferguson and Donna Ferguson, Straight Creek, KY. Nine grandchildren, Franklin Durrell White, Michael Dontae Ferguson, Brittani Leshae Ferguson, Nyeisha Danielle Epperson, Ashley Marie White, Trever Isaiah Ferguson, Marissa Makinsse Ferguson, Jordyn Alexandria Ferguson and Braxton Spencer Ferguson; Eight great grandchildren; Daphne Michelle Epperson, Cody Lee Epperson, Dustin Chase Epperson, Payton Olivia Epperson, Zion Mykell White, Brayden Lee Ferguson, London Ivy White, Brynlee Leshae Ferguson; brother-in-Law; Henry Jefferson, Sr. and a host of nephews, nieces, relatives and friends. Special thank you to Dr. Lucas, Nurse Becky and medical staff at the Campbell County VA Outpatient Clinic, LaFollette, TN and The James H Quillen VA Hospital and Hospice medical staff in Johnson City, TN. Donna Ferguson, who labored tirelessly as his caregiver. Our friends, family, the churches and Arnett Steele Funeral Home that have been gracious and compassionate in so many different ways. The visitation and funeral services will be at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home in Pineville, KY. The visitation will be Friday, January 31, 2020; Family 5:00pm-6:00pm and Friends 6:00pm to 9:00pm. The funeral service will be Saturday, February 1, 2020 with visitation from 12:00pm up to the funeral hour at 2:00pm. The officiant is Prophet Michael Ferguson, Word of Deliverance, with selections by Rhonda Ann White, Tammie Rogers, Albernita Cummings and Minister Ronnie Johnson, Jr. Pallbearers: James Drake, Rick Washington, John Jefferson, Franklin Durrell White, Michael Dontae Ferguson and Trever Isaiah Ferguson. Internment will be Saturday, February 1, 2020 at the Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro, KY.
