Mossie "Birdie" Alberta Hodge

Mossie Alberta "Birdie" Hodge, 70 of Pineville, KY went to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 13, 2020. She was born in Mathel, KY on March 11, 1949 a daughter of the late Hobert Walters and Laura Cox Walters. She was a member of Hensley Chapel Baptist Church and had been a teacher with the Bell County School System. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her brothers, Evert Walters, Arthur (T.B.) Walters, Millard Walters and Paul Walters; sisters-in-law, Dorothy Parolari Walters, Gloria Johnson Walters and Wilma Chambers Hodge; brother-in-law, Wayne Hodge; father and mother-in-law, Elmer and Hazel Hodge and nephew, Stephen Walters. She is survived by her husband, Charles Hodge; brothers, J.R. Walters of Cincinnati, Ohio and Tess (Kathy) Walters of Pineville, KY; sisters, Loretta Helton of Flat Lick, KY and Dorothy (Dennis) Martineau of Saugatuck, Michigan; brother-in-law, Gerald Hodge; sister-in-law, Zola Davis Hodge; friend, Joyce (Frank) Reynolds along with a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. Services will be Sunday, February 16 at 3:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with the Rev. Murphy Buell and Rev. Mike Sutton. Burial will follow in the Green Hills Memorial Gardens with nephews serving as pallbearers. A dinner will be held at the Hensley Chapel Baptist Church following the graveside. In lieu of flowers the family is requesting that donations be made to the Balkan Cemetery Fund, 2213 Hwy 987 Laurel Hill, Pineville, KY 40977. The family will receive friends Sunday, February 16 from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center Pineville, KY which is honored to serve the Hodge Family.
