Mossie Ayers

Mrs. Mossie Ayers, age 91, of New Tazewell, TN was born December 5, 1930 and passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at her home. She was saved at the age of 16 and was a member of TNT Church of God. Mossie loved sewing, canning, gardening, and above all else, she loved her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Call and Polly Ann (Ely) Ayers; husband, John Henry Ayers; infant son; 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

She is survived by her daughters; Sherry Carroll and husband Steven, Marry Brother and husband Bill, Leona Dooley and husband Glen, Margaret Mitchell; adopted son, Pete Middleton; 5 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, 8 great-great grandchildren, special granddaughter, Chasity Middleton; special baby, Little Man. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and a host of other relatives and friends.

Graveside services will be conducted 12 noon Friday, September 2, 2022 in the Elydale Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
