Minne Jessie Henley

Minnie Jessie Hunley age 102 of Speedwell passes away January 31, 2015. She was a charter member of Flatwoods Freewill Baptist Church since 1938. Born January 19, 1913 to the late Lloyd & Hallie Brooks Jessie. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by Husband- Clay Hunley, Sons: George Donald Hunley, Ralph Hunley, & James Hunley, Brothers: Bud Jessie, George Jessie, & Houston Jessie, Sisters: Viola Carey, Ethel Jessie & Edna Jessie, Grandchild: Jerry Joshua and Great-grandchild: Robert Adrian.

Survivors include: Sons- Robert (& Geneva) Hunley of Speedwell, Elbert (& Margie) Hunley of Knoxville, Johnny Hunley of Speedwell, Jerry (& Betty) Hunley of Speedwell. Daughters- Mary (&Ralph) Heming of Fort Myers, FL, Marie Coleman of Harrogate, Susie (& Jerry) Gilbert of Speedwell. Brothers- Wade Jessie of Speedwell, Frank Jessie of Johnson City. Several grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be 8 PM Wednesday Feb 4 at Reece Funeral Home & Valley Chapel with Rev. James Branscomb, Rev. Elbert Hunley, & Rev. Jim Hurst officiating. Music provided by One Way Home. The family will receive friends from 6-8. Graveside service 11 AM Thursday at Flatwoods Church Cemetery.
