Millard Knuckles

Millard Clayborne Knuckles, 96 years young, passed away on Saturday, December 25, 2010 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Pineville on January 25 1914 a son of the late James F. and Lillie M. Napier Knuckles. He was of the Baptist Faith and a great man and loved by all who knew him. He was a coal miner, he lived to coon hunt and he was an Honorary Kentucky Colonel. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Birdie Brock Knuckles, sister, Mellie Woolum, brothers, Walter Knuckles, Ed Knuckles and Earl Knuckles and two sets of twin grandchildren. He left behind his children, Claude (Phyllis) Knuckles, Shirley Knuckles Green, Steve (Cindy) Knuckles, Lillie Knuckles, Mary Knuckles, grandchildren, Sherrie (Tuttle), J.R. Miracle, William C. (Brandi) Muncy, Adam (Tonya) Knuckles, Rebecca Knuckles, Crystal Knuckles, Jason (Tasha) Knuckles, Curt (Sherry) Knuckles, Wilma (Herman) Denny, Lisa Shell, Sue (Tony) Saylor, Brenda Baker, Lonnie (Andrea) Schnepp, Mark Green, Clay (Reka) Knuckles, Stevie (Lindsey) Knuckles, Sarah Knuckles, John (Regan) Knuckles; along with 20 great-grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren; brothers, Ray (Roxie) Knuckles, Leonard Knuckles, Otis (Rossie) Knuckles, sisters, Hazel Jones, Ellen (Marvin) Porter and Dorothy Spears; special friend, Lucy Roark and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
