Mildred Harris Swafford

Mildred Inez Harris Swafford, 93, of Pineville, passed away on Monday, June 18, 2018 at the Tennova Health & Rehab Center in LaFollette, TN. She was born in Harlan, KY on December 10, 1924 a daughter of the late Wallace and Maude West Harris. Mildred had been self-employed as a Laundry Mat Owner. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lloyd Swafford; daughter, Carol Lynn Short; brothers, Charlie Vernon, Raymond and Wallace, Jr. Swafford. Survivors include her children, Joan S. Morgan and Raymond Larry (Susan) Swafford; son-in-law, Billy Short; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; brother, Jack Harris and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Services will be on Friday, June 22 at Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Pinelawn Memorial Gardens, Pineville. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Friday from 10 until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Swafford Family.
