Mildred Knuckles

Mildred Garrett Knuckles, 87 of Pineville, passed away on Wednesday, May 11, 2022, at the St. Joseph’s Hospital in Lexington. She was born in Wilder, Tennessee on June 2, 1934, a daughter of the late Arkley Osville and Ova Della Matthews Garrett. Mildred had been a Registered Nurse. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Franklin Delano Knuckles; sisters, Clarice Garrett Nighman and Vivian Faye Garrett Lewis; and brother, Douglas Garrett. Mildred is survived by her children, Douglas Lee Knuckles and Terri Knuckles, Donald Wade Knuckles, and Jennifer Lynn Smith and her husband, Scott; grandchildren, Ben Knuckles and wife, Meagan, Patrick Knuckles and wife, Amber, Maggie Knuckles, Dillon Knuckles and wife, Mahina, Brenden Knuckles, Ashlynn Knuckles, Ian Knuckles, Kayla Karam and husband, Tony, Matthew Simpson, Caleb Smith and Alli Smith; great-grandchildren, Lincoln Knuckles, Harper Knuckles, Hudson Knuckles, Alexander Karam, and Millie Karam; brother, Paul Garrett; caregiver, Cheryl Prive and son, Jacob Howard; lifelong friend, Anna Gander; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Funeral services will be at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 15, 2022, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Smith presiding. Burial will follow at the Pinelawn Memorial Gardens in Pineville. Pallbearers will be John Vinson, Ben Knuckles, Patrick Knuckles, Matt Simpson, Tony Karam, and Caleb Smith. In lieu of flowers please send donations to the First Church of the Nazarene in Pineville. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:30 PM until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to serve the Knuckles Family.
