Mike "Tader Head" Helton

Mike 'Tader Head' Helton, 58 of Stoney Fork, passed away on Monday, November 2, 2015 at the Pineville Community Hospital. He was born in Red Bird on March 16, 1957 , and was the son of Viola Lawson Helton and the late, Logan Helton. Mike believed in the Methodist faith and had retired from driving coal trucks and had also been a carpenter. He is preceded in death by his father, Logan Helton, sister, Ella 'Dootsie' Saylor, a special niece, Lucy Helton, niece and nephew, Holly Helton and Travis Helton. Survivors include his wife, Faye Baker Helton of Stoney Fork; daughters, Tonia Helton Evans and Heather Helton Strunk; grandchildren, Conner Evans, Logan Strunk, Tristen Strunk, Kaimen Strunk and Kylee Strunk; his mother, Viola Helton; brothers and sisters and their spouses, Luke and Loretta Helton, Troy and Diane Helton, Carlo 'Buddy' and Janice Helton, Barbara Helton, Edna and Darrell Brock and Janice and Jesse Grubbs; nieces and nephews, Katie Widener, Brooke Philpot, Jillian Smith, Jason Couch, Jody Brock, and Christopher Saylor and a host of great nieces and nephews, other relatives and many friends. Services will be 1:00 PM Thursday, November 5, at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Don Messer. Music will be by Kathy Brock. Burial will follow in the Helton Family Cemetery at York Branch with family and friends serving as pallbearers. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 11 AM until 1 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to be serving the Helton Family.
