Michael Wilbur Tarbet

Michael Wilbur “Mike” Tarbet, 82 of Knoxville, passed away on Monday, February 6, 2023, at the Park View Assisted Living Center in North Knoxville. He was born in Lewiston, Idaho on January 24, 1941, a son of the late Wilbur Ervin and Ruth Annett Coultas Tarbet. Mike had been a surface coal miner. Mike loved his family, and he loved Kentucky Basketball.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Phyllis Barnett Tarbet and sister, Ruthie Tarbet.

Mike is survived by his son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Cindy Tarbet; grandchildren, Jason Tarbet and wife, Clair, and Jessica Tarbet; great-grandchildren, Rylee Tarbet and Everlee Tarbet; sisters, Sandra Erlewine and Vickie McEwen; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.

Graveside services will be at 11:00 AM on Friday, February 10, 2023, in the Mausoleum at Green Hills Memorial Gardens in Middlesboro.
