Michael Anthony "Red" Rutherford, Jr

Michael Anthony 'Red' Rutherford, Jr., 30, of Dorton Branch, passed away on Wednesday, May 7, 2015 at his home. He was born in Pineville on December 29, 1984, a son of the late Michael Anthony and Barbara Jean McCoy Rutherford. He has worked in construction. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by an uncle, Johnny McCoy. Survivors include his wife, Tiffany Rutherford; brother, Joshua Shawn Rutherford; step-daughter, Kaycee Jones; grandparents, John and Wanda McCoy and Clarence and Edna Rutherford; aunts, Deborah (Eddie) Hampton, Karen Emery, Lisa (Frank) Johnson, Jennifer Gambrel and Tonya (Steve) Simpson and a host of cousins and friends. Services will be on Tuesday, May 12, at 2:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Chapel with Rev. Rodney Sulfridge. Burial will be in the Hickory Flat Cemetery at Dorton Branch. Pallbearers will be family and friends. In lieu of flowers, Donations are suggested to assist with expenses. The family will receive friends Tuesday from 12 Noon until the funeral hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Rutherford Family.
