Michael Alan Nierengarten

Michael Alan Nierengarten, 58, of Middlesboro, passed away on Monday, December 28, 2015 at his home. He was born in Louisville, KY on September 11, 1957 a son of the late Donald Floyd and Bessie Wigginton Nierengarten. He had worked for the Cumberland Gap Tunnel Authority. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Donna June Nierengarten. Survivors include his wife Kris Ann Welch Nierengarten; children, Michelle Ann Mullins, Donna June Nierengarten and Michael Alan Nierengarten, II; granddaughter, Alyssa Ann Mullins; brothers, Russell Lee Nierengarten and Tony Nierengarten and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends and coworkers. Memorial services will be on Friday at 7:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral chapel with Rev. Tim Hamilton. Following Michael's wishes, he was cremated at the Arnett & Steele Cremation Center in Pineville. The family will receive friends from 5:00 PM until the service hour at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center, Pineville, which is honored to serve the Nierengarten family.
