Michael Lynn Liford

Rev. Michael Lynn Liford, 61 of Pineville, passed away on Friday, September 10, 2021 at the Pineville Community Health Center. He was born on September 28, 1959 in Barbourville, Kentucky and was the son of the late Chester Liford and Beulah Mae Perry Liford-Epperson. Mike was saved in November of 1978 and surrendered to preach the Gospel on April 14, 1980. He was currently serving as Pastor of Calvary Baptist Church at East Jellico and worked in maintenance at Pineville Community Health Center. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Billy Ray Liford; step-father, Bradley Epperson; and brothers-in-law, Jerry Lewis and Chris Bowen. Mike is survived by his wife of 28 years, Mary Jean North Liford; son, Michael William Liford and his wife, Bethany; brothers and sisters, Linda Lewis, Gary Liford and Elaine, Pamela Woods and Phillip, and Darita Mills and Gayle; sisters-in-law, Belinda Vancleave and John, Kathy Bowen, Lillie Harris and Reed, and Sally Brock and Buddy; his lil’ buddy, Viserys North; and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Funeral services will be on Tuesday, September 14 at 2:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home with Rev. Bobby Grubbs and Rev. Ricky Mason presiding. Music will be by Marvin Taylor, Joanie Hobbs and Londa and Amber Rice. Burial will follow in the Pinelawn Memorial Cemetery in East Pineville. Pallbearers are Ryan Mills, Ricky Mason, Sam Sutherland, Tony Liford, Keith “Buster” Liford, and Larry Williamson. Honorary pallbearers are James Brooks, Kevin Edmondson and all his co-workers at Pineville Community Health Center, and the men of Calvary Baptist Church at East Jellico. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM at the Arnett & Steele Funeral Home and Cremation Center in Pineville, which is honored to be serving the Liford Family.
